RALEIGH, N.C. - As tough as it will be to replace Jason Spezza's offence, the Senators will also now have to find someone else to take key faceoffs.
That could be Kyle Turris, a guy who might not have been a serious candidate before Spezza went down.
Turris was credited with a 65% success rate in the circles against Washington, then won 68% of his draws versus Montreal -- the two games played since Spezza, the team's best faceoff man, left the lineup.
Turris admitted he's not used to winning more than he loses.
"I've gotten off to a real slow start (in the circles), that's for sure," he said. "It's something I've been working on since I came into the league. I've been getting better every year, but there's lots of room for improvement. I haven't been over 50% since I've been in the league, and that's something I want to do this year."
