OTTAWA - The Senators had to soldier on without Jason Spezza Tuesday night.

The club's top centre, who missed Monday's practice, wasn't on the ice for the morning skate before the Senators faced the Washington Capitals and was sent for further tests to evaluate what coach Paul MacLean called an "upper body" injury.

A couple of fans said on Twitter that Spezza was spotted at the MacDonald-Cartier Airport heading to Toronto around 6:30 p.m. It should be noted Spezza has had issues with his back in the past.

"He's just being further evaluated, so he needs to take some time to do that," said MacLean before the game.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
