Penguins drop Senators in shootout

OTTAWA - The Senators came up one shot short Sunday night.

Evgeni Malkin scored in the shootout to give the Pittsburgh Penguins a 2-1 victory over the Senators at Scotiabank Place.

Colin Greening scored in regulation for the Senators while James Neal responded for the Penguins. Ottawa's Craig Anderson and Pittsburgh Marc-Andre Fleury had to come up with big stops to send this one to OT in front of 20,081.

The shots were 34-31 for the Penguins after OT.
