OTTAWA - Maybe this time, Bryan Murray has signed a former Montreal Canadiens winger who will give the Senators the second line support they need.
Some people have said Guilliaume Latendresse looks slow, but no one ever claimed he was a speed skater. He’s a big guy who hits people, and he has a scorer’s touch that, through the first five periods of the season, was just a tad off. Pretty much what you should expect from a guy who has missed so much time to injury, right?
Anyway, Latendresse delivered the perfect pass to Kyle Turris for the very important second period goal that gave the Senators a 2-0 lead against Alex Kovalev’s Florida Panthers in Monday’s home opener.
