NHL Playoffs: BOS @ NYR

Ottawa Sens goalie Robin Lehner gets Brennan's vote to start opener
By DON BRENNAN, QMI Agency

Ottawa Senators goaltender Robin Lehner makes a glove save during training camp at Scotiabank Place on Tuesday January 15,2013. Errol McGihon/Ottawa Sun/QMI Agency

The large and leaner Robin Lehner strolls across the Senators dressing room, his equipment left in a sweaty heap at his stall. He has a steely, straight-ahead stare, short haircut and long goatee. On this day, at this moment, he looks more like a WWE star than a professional goalie, except there's nothing fake about him. Four days before the Senators are to open the NHL season, the 21-year-old Swede is all business.

He already has his game face on.

Unlike a Ron Tugnutt or Alex Auld, Lehner has no problem chatting with reporters hours before a start. But you get the feeling that, at his fourth NHL camp, he would much rather let his actions do the talking.

Would Patrick Roy make a good coach for the Colorado Avalanche?
  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
  Bring him to Montreal!
