Boys from Bingo get a shot at Ottawa Sens training camp
By BRUCE GARRIOCH, QMI Agency

Ottawa Senator, Milan Michalek, gets his height recorded during a voluntary medical check at Scotiabank Place Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013. Darren Brown/Ottawa Sun/QMI Agency)

The boys on the bus are going to get a shot.

As 27 players gathered for medicals Saturday at Scotiabank Place, seven from the club’s AHL affiliate in Binghamton and two with junior eligibility were among those invited to take part in the shortened training camp that starts Sunday.

While there were no surprises — that included forwards Jakob Silfverberg and Mike Hoffman along with blueliners Andre Benoit, Patrick Wiercioch and Mark Borowiecki — it was odd to see forward Mark Stone left off the list.

Would Patrick Roy make a good coach for the Colorado Avalanche?
  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
  Bring him to Montreal!
