Senators GM Bryan Murray exploring trade possibilities

OTTAWA - Bryan Murray is working the phones.

The Senators GM isn't going to rush out to get a blueliner before the start of training camp, but he's keeping his options open with the club short on defenceman. He hasn't ruled out either a trade or signing a unrestricted free agent.

"We think we have three or four young guys (Patrick Wiercioch, Mark Borowiecki and Eric Gryba) who we're willing to give a chance to first," Murray said Wednesday.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
  No.
  Not sure.
