Ottawa Senators first-year defenceman Marc Methot will partner up with Erik Karlsson
By BRUCE GARRIOCH, QMI Agency

Senators take to the ice Tuesday

OTTAWA - Marc Methot wore a wide, toothy grin Tuesday.

With the official end of the NHL lockout just around the corner and camps set to open Sunday, the Senators defenceman has plenty to smile about after spending what seemed like an eternity waiting for this time in his life to arrive.

Dealt to the Senators on July 1 from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for winger Nick Foligno, Methot can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel of this lockout. He now can look forward to making his debut in his hometown.

It comes as no surprise when Methot does step on the ice day one of camp, he'll be paired with Norris Trophy winner Erik Karlsson. Coach Paul MacLean confirmed Tuesday on the Team 1200 he'll try that duo on the first day.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
