Don Cherry insists 'feud' with Daniel Alfredsson over Alfie's opinion on secret player vote overblown

Don Cherry is now at least pretending he has a bigger issue with the Sun than he does with Daniel Alfredsson — and he doesn’t really have a big issue with the Sun.

The star of Hockey Night in Canada’s Coach’s Corner was back on Twitter Monday, this time reacting to a story reporting his comments on Alfredsson’s opinion that it’s senseless for players to hold a secret vote on whether to accept the NHL’s latest offer.

Alfredsson believes no vote is necessary, because he thinks most of the players feel there isn’t a fair offer on the table right now. The main point in Cherry’s original tweet on the subject is well taken.

Do you think the officiating has been fair in the Kings-Sharks series?
  Yes
  No
No ... but the refs seem to be evening it out themselves
