OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators will play three times in front of their home fans during the 2012-13 pre-season, including games against rivals Toronto and Montreal.

The Senators will also play three road contests and one neutral-site meeting. The schedule also features split-squad contests for the first time.

The Senators will begin the 2012-13 pre-season with road games on consecutive nights, starting at Montreal on Sunday, Sept. 23, and then at Toronto, on Monday, Sept. 24.

Ottawa fans will get their first chance to watch the team at home on Tuesday, Sept. 25, when the Maple Leafs visit. The Senators then host the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday, Sept. 27, before split-squad contests with the New York Islanders are played on Sunday, Sept. 30.

While the Senators host the Islanders at Scotiabank Place, New York will serve as the home team when the teams meet at the Barrie (Ont.) Molson Centre.

The pre-season schedule concludes when the Senators visit the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday, Oct. 6.

  • Monday, Sept. 24: Ottawa at Toronto, 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, Sept. 23: Ottawa at Montreal, 7 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 25: Toronto at Ottawa, 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Sept. 27: Montreal at Ottawa, 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, Sept. 30: Ottawa vs N.Y. Islanders, 5 p.m., (at Barrie, Ont.)
  • Sunday, Sept. 30: N.Y. Islanders at Ottawa, TBA
  • Saturday, Oct. 6: Ottawa at Winnipeg, 8 p.m.

The regular-season schedule will be announced at a later date.
