Big Ben down and out
Senators lose Bishop to injury
By BRUCE GARRIOCH, QMI Agency

Winning formula: Sens vs. Jets

WINNIPEG - The Senators won't have Big Ben Bishop down the stretch.

He's out two weeks with a "lower body" injury he suffered Saturday against the Pittsburgh Penguins, which means Craig Anderson is going to carry the ball and will start against the Winnipeg Jets Monday at the MTS Centre.

A St. Louis report said Bishop has a pulled groin. In any case, he's not going to play anytime soon. Alex Auld will dress as the backup against the Jets and the situation will be re-evaluated when the club gets home.

"We have three days to see how (Bishop) recovers from it," said Senators coach Paul MacLean Monday morning.

The Senators could still call up goalie Robin Lehner from their AHL affiliate in Binghamton, but haven't made that decision.

The Senators are only two points up on the Buffalo Sabres and four points ahead of the No. 9 Washington Capitals. The club will have a four-day break after this game so they'll be doing a lot of scoreboard watching.

With his club coming off an 8-4 victory over the Penguins Sunday, MacLean won't make any changes vs. the Jets. Blueliner Matt Gilroy and winger Bobby Butler will be healthy scratches along with centre Zenon Konopka.

Matt Carkner and Kaspars Daugavins will play.

The Jets are sitting four points out of a playoff spot. They have seven games remaining -- three at home and four on the road -- and pretty much need to run the table.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
