Regin : Early Christmas for Sens

The Senators had a peek at their early Christmas present Tuesday: Peter Regin.

Projected as a Top 6 forward this season, Regin has missed the last 22 games with his most recent shoulder injury. On Tuesday, he practised with the team for the first since beginning his rehab.

"I'm looking forward to getting into contact the next couple of days," said Regin, who was asked about the timetable his return. "We'll take it one step at a time ...but it shouldn't be too long.

"Mid-December was the goal and I'm confident I can make that."

While it's not known whether Filip Kuba - who has missed the last three games with an upper body injury - will be able to play in Wednesday's home tilt with the Washington Capitals, coach Paul MacLean said Matt Carkner will likely be available to the team for Saturday's game at Scotiabank Place versus the Vancouver Canucks.

Carkner has yet to play this season while recovering from knee surgery.

MacLean said Craig Anderson will tend goal against the Caps while Alex Auld will get the start Thursday night in New Jersey.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
No, they should go to Quebec instead.
