Lee a scratch as Sens face Caps
By DON BRENNAN, QMI Agency

WASHINGTON - Brian Lee is once again the odd man out for the Senators.

The 24-year-old defenceman will be a healthy scratch for the second time this season when Ottawa plays the Washington Capitals Saturday at Verizon Center.

Lee, a former first rounder, was relegated to the press box 32 times last season by former coach Cory Clouston. He had a good camp but still hasn’t been able to secure an everyday role with the team.

Bobby Butler will also miss the game with a groin injury, as Zenon Konopka and Erik Condra draw back into the lineup.

“We feel on the road that Zenon gives us leadership and a faceoff circle presence that is important on the road,” said coach Paul MacLean.

Alex Auld will be making his first start in goal for the Senators.

Would Patrick Roy make a good coach for the Colorado Avalanche?
  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
  Bring him to Montreal!
