Sens' new scoreboard not a done deal
By JAMIE LONG, QMI Agency

Despite a leaked photo of a possible new Scotiabank Place scoreboard, the Senators say they've yet to purchase one.

Brian Morris, spokesman for the team and Scotiabank Place, confirmed there are ongoing negotiations with Anthony James Partners, a company that designs scoreboards for professional and college teams.

But Morris wouldn't confirm this photo, grabbed from the AJP website Friday and posted at Senstown.com, likens any new Senators scoreboard.

"We've been working with them to design a score clock and have options," said Morris. "We continue to review our alternatives."

Senstown.com also shows early blueprints of the score clock, in addition to a replica of any new scoreboard.

"On the design they have, I'm not going to confirm or deny what that is, or where it is in any process, but I can tell you, essentially, we have been working with them," added Morris.

There is still no timetable for a new scoreboard and nothing has been purchased.
