OTTAWA - The Senators have again dipped into the free agent waters, this time pulling out a reclaimation project.

Ottawa announced Friday morning it has signed winger Mark Parrish to a two-way contact. The 34-year old American is a decade removed from his most productive season in the NHL, when he scored 30 goals and 30 assists as a New York Islander.

Parrish hasn't been a full time NHLer since 2007-08, as a member of the Minnesota Wild.

Last season he played two games with the Buffalo Sabres and 56 with the AHL's Portland Pirates, where he had 51 points (17 goals).

Parrish, a third overall pick of the Colorado Avanche in 1996, has played 722 NHL games, scoring 216 goals and 171 assists for 387 points, while also racking up 246 penalty minutes.

He has five goals and four assists in 27 career playoff games.
