OTTAWA - The Senators are saying goodbye to veteran forwards Cody Bass and Ryan Potulny, according to TSN.
Neither were given qualifying offers at Mondayís deadline and can now test the NHLís unrestricted free agent market starting Friday. Bass, 24, was drafted by Ottawa in 2005 while Potulny, 26, spent last season with the clubís AHL affiliate in Binghamton. Both were part of the Baby Sensí Calder Cup championship team.
Itís believed the Senators did extend offers to RFAs Bobby Butler, Erik Condra, Roman Wick and Derek Smith.
