NHL Playoffs: BOS @ NYR

Sens bid adieu to Bass, Potulny
By QMI Agency

OTTAWA - The Senators are saying goodbye to veteran forwards Cody Bass and Ryan Potulny, according to TSN.

Neither were given qualifying offers at Monday’s deadline and can now test the NHL’s unrestricted free agent market starting Friday. Bass, 24, was drafted by Ottawa in 2005 while Potulny, 26, spent last season with the club’s AHL affiliate in Binghamton. Both were part of the Baby Sens’ Calder Cup championship team.

It’s believed the Senators did extend offers to RFAs Bobby Butler, Erik Condra, Roman Wick and Derek Smith.

  Yes, he's perfect
