Senators interview Kleinendorst
By QMI Agency

Fresh off coaching the Binghamton Senators to an AHL Calder Cup championship, Kurt Kleindendorst officially threw his name into the hat for the Senators coaching job Friday.

Kleinendorst talked to GM Bryan Murray about the coaching job, joining a list of at least five other viable candidates — frontrunner Paul MacLean, Craig MacTavish, Kirk Muller, Dave Cameron and Gerard Gallant.

Kleinendorst told The Team 1200 Friday afternoon that he is happy being the coach in Binghamton, but would consider being an assistant in Ottawa under the right circumstances.

Kleinendorst said the interview went well. And now the ball is in the Senators’ court.

Would Patrick Roy make a good coach for the Colorado Avalanche?
  Yes, he's perfect
  No, he's not ready
  Bring him to Montreal!
