Senators get day off to enjoy Florida sunshine
By DON BRENNAN, QMI Agency

SUNRISE, Fla. - Senators coach Cory Clouston changed up the schedule cancelled practice Wednesday.

After a brief off-ice workout at the rink, players were left on their own to do what they wanted. Some went to watch tennis in Miami, some played golf. For the most part, they enjoying a beautiful day in sunny, hot Florida was in the plans.

"I think we've gone 10 straight days on the ice so we just felt it was better off, both mentally and physically, to give them a day off the ice," said Clouston. "They went and had a little soccer game to keep their spirits up. We did some stuff on the video this morning that we needed to address.

"It's been a tough grind, a lot of travel back and forth, and with the hot climate we want to make sure we're not getting dehydrated. We wanted to give them time to take a break today."

The Senators conclude their last multi-game road trip of the season Thursday against the Florida Panthers.

Craig Anderson is expected to start in goal.

Would Seattle be a good city for the NHL to relocate to?
Yes, it'd be a great market.
  Maybe, who knows.
