Lehner unlikely to start for Sens
Backup goalie shuttling between Binghamton and Ottawa

Robin Lehner is being shuttled back and forth to Binghamton.

The Senators goaltender was sent back to the club’s AHL affiliate Saturday to face the Manchester Monarchs. Lehner is expected to rejoin Ottawa in time to dress as the backup Sunday in Washington at 3 p.m.

That means Brian Elliott, who has lost seven straight and hasn’t won since Dec. 26th, will likely get the start against the Capitals. The Senators are coming off a 3-2 loss to the Calgary Flames Friday at home.

“Robin is going to play (in Binghamton) and we’re looking at getting him in a game (here) soon,” said Senators coach Cory Clouston. “He needs to develop. He’s only played 10 games down there all year. He hasn’t had a real full season. It’s about getting in games.”

Defenceman Chris Campoli, a healthy scratch the last two games, is expected to return to the lineup.

The Vancouver Canucks should replace ex-coach Alain Vigneault with...
  Guy Boucher.
  Lindy Ruff.
  Andy Murray.
  Jacques Martin.
  Brent Sutter.
  Don Hay.
  Other.
