OTTAWA - After a one game benching, veteran defenceman Filip Kuba will be back in the Senators lineup when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday night at Scotiabank Place.
His return means Brian Lee returns to the role of spectator.
"I've talked to him," coach Cory Clouston said of Kuba, who he made a healthy scratch Friday in Columbus. "He knows what he needs to do."
A second veteran, winger Jarkko Ruutu, will spend his second consecutive in the pressbox while former first round pick Jim O'Brien gets another game to show what he can do.
Despite power-play time and Top 4 minutes, Kuba has no goals and four assists in 22 games. He is also an ugly minus-10.
"Every time you're not playing it's not a good feeling," he said of his brief stay in Clouston's doghouse. "You want to be out there playing with the team. Obviously I was disappointed.
"I think there was more than one problem ... when you put it all together, I think my play has got to be better."
Brian Elliott will start in goal for the Senators.
