NEW YORK — Help is on the way for the Senators.

Stuck in an offensive rut, the team has recalled Bobby Butler from its farm team in Binghamton.

Butler is tied for the AHL scoring lead with 15 goals. Coach Cory Clouston will inform the media who will come out of the lineup a couple of hours before Sunday's 5 p.m. faceoff with the New York Rangers, but there is no shortage of worthy candidates.

Losers of three in a row, the Senators have been shutout in their last two games. If they don't score in the first 9:13 at Madison Square Garden, they will have set a new franchise futility record.

The endangered Senators mark for longest drought between goals is 187:42, set from Nov. 17-26, 1997.
