Brian Elliott will tend goal for the Senators when they square off with the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Place Saturday night.

Coach Cory Clouston said that the switch from Pascal Leclaire, who has started the last three games, was in keeping with the plan that had been mapped out some time ago.

He also noted that Leclaire had seen a "lot of rubber" lately.

Leclaire stopped 90 of 96 shots he faced while posting a 1-2 record this week.

Clouston has also decided to re-insert Matt Carkner into the lineup after the tough-guy defenceman sat out Friday's 2-1 loss in Pittsburgh as a healthy scratch.

Defenceman David Hale is coming out.
