Pascal Leclaire is going to have to wait.

The Senators goaltender might be ready for action after recovering from a groin injury, but coach Cory Clouston doesn’t feel any need to make a change at this juncture with the club coming off a 3-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs Tuesday.

That means Brian Elliott will start Thursday against the New York Islanders.

“We’re not going to say who is going to start, but there’s no need to change things right now,” said Clouston Wednesday. “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. Brian has played well. He has given our guys an opportunity to get our feet back underneath us when we have struggled at times.”

The Senators won’t have defenceman Filip Kuba (leg) or winger Milan Michalek (knee) back against the Islanders. Kuba was on the ice for an optional skate Wednesday at the Bell Sensplex, but won’t suit up until Saturday against the Montreal Canadiens.

Michalek is resting his knee and there is no timetable for his return.
