The Senators re-assigned defencemen Brian Lee and Derek Smith to their AHL affiliate in Binghamton on Monday.

With the NHL on its Olympic break, teams around the league are sending eligible players to the minors.

Lee played two games without recording a point in his recall. He has played 15 games for the Senators this season, recording two goals, and one assist.

Smith made his NHL debut on Saturday in Ottawa's 4-1 loss in Detroit. In two games with the Senators, he recorded no points.
