PHILADELPHIA -- The Alexei Kovalev/Jason Spezza experiment didn't last long.

As the club prepares to face the Flyers tonight in Philadelphia, coach Cory Clouston has moved Spezza back to middle with Daniel Alfredsson and Milan Michalek.

That means Mike Fisher will be in the middle of Kovalev and Nick Folgino. Clouston said part of the reason for the change is the fact the club is on the road and won't have the last change.

Clouston tried to combination for two straight games, but it didn't seem to work.

"We just switched the centremen," said Clouston. "A little bit is because we're on the road. That could change at game time as well. We want to see how they match up.

"But, with (those combinations) we've had a lot of success."

Defenceman Alex Picard won't be ready to return from a shoulder injury he suffered last Thursday against the Los Angeles Kings.

Goaltender Brian Elliott will make his ninth straight start in the club's net.
