Jason Spezza appears ready to return.

And, it looks like Jonathan Cheechoo is going to get demoted.

Getting ready to play the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight at Scotiabank Place, Spezza looks like he is ready to return after missing two games with a back/groin injury that has hampered him all season.

"You bring back an elite player. He's a lot closer to being 100% than he was," said coach Cory Clouston. "That is what the rest was about. He's obviously a big part of our team."

As for Cheechoo, he is on the fourth line with Chris Kelly and Jarkko Ruutu. He hasn't scored in the club's first 12 regular season games. It would appear that Shean Donovan will be a healthy scratch.

Clouston said Cheechoo will get power play time.

"You can call it No. 4 (line), I wouldn't," said Clouston. "You could argue we have two third lines."
