The Senators won't have winger Ryan Shannon for the Battle of Ontario.

As they prepare to face the Toronto Maple Leafs tomorrow at the Air Canada Centre, Shannon wasn't on the ice for the second straight day with what's believed to be a head injury.

Shannon was nailed late in the club's 5-2 loss to the New York Rangers Saturday. His absence means that winger Shean Donovan will make his debut in the Ottawa lineup.

He is expected to skate on the fourth line with Jarrko Ruutu and Chris Kelly.

"(Shannon's) still day-to-day that's about all I can say," said coach Cory Clouston.

Pascal Leclaire, who faced 34 shots against the Rangers Saturday, is expected to make his second straight start for Ottawa. The Leafs are expected to give Jonas "The Monster" Gustavsson his first start. Toronto is coming off a 6-4 loss to the Washington Capitals Saturday at home.

"Anytime you play the Leafs it's a big game," said Clouston.
