REGINA -- The Senators are getting down to the short strokes at training camp.

But, coach Cory Clouston said this morning he doesn't expect any more cuts until after the club's final exhibition game against the Boston Bruins Friday in Ottawa.

While defenceman Jared Cowen will return to his WHL team in Spokane after the game here tonight against the Tampa Bay Lightning at the Brandt Centre, the club is expected to keep 27 players around.

"We have a couple of different options but we will probably wait until after the Boston game," said Clouston this morning. "There is no sense of urgency. We have an idea of what we got here, but we will wait and see how the game goes tonight."

Senators GM Bryan Murray said this morning forward Jesse Winchester is sidelined with a knee injury he suffered in the 2-1 loss against the Montreal Canadiens Friday.

Murray said the club intends to keep 21 players.

The only player that won't suit up is defenceman Matt Carkner. He was brought along in case the club needed a body due to injury.
