Disgruntled Ottawa Senators forward Dany Heatley is expected to hold a conference call Friday to clear the air about why he has asked the NHL team for a trade.

Sources are telling Sun Media he will hold the call from his home in Kelowna, B.C.

Heatley's agents informed the Senators a month ago that he wanted out of Ottawa, but the former 50-goal scorer has refused all interview requests.

He is slated to attend a Hockey Canada camp next week as part of the Olympic Team selection process, and has been told by team executives they want the Senators issue cleared up before he hits the camp.

The Olympic squad does not want the trade request to be the dominant subject during their tryout sessions.

Heatley is believed to be unhappy with his role under new Ottawa coach Cory Clouston, who took over during the final third of the 2008-2009 season.
