MONTREAL - Mike Fisher won't have a chance to win anything with the Ottawa Senators this season.

But girlfriend Carrie Underwood has got her equivalent of the Stanley Cup.

"I'm happy for her. It's a huge award for her," said Fisher this morning after tuning in last night and watching Underwood win the Entertainer of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas.

Underwood accepted the award and had a shoutout for Fisher.

"I‚ve had a lot of good moments in the last four years. This one takes the cake!" she said. "I don't know what to say! I got nothing. Mike, baby, I wish you were here!"

Fisher watched the awards in his hotel here, where the Senators are set to play the Montreal Canadiens tonight at the Bell Centre.

Fisher said he didn't have any trouble convincing roommate Chris Neil to watch the awards.

Neil kidded Fisher he wanted to watch a movie instead.

"I couldn't be happier," said Fisher. "She's worked hard and deserves it."

Underwood also took home the Top Female Vocalist award.

As far as tonight's game goes, Alex Auld will start for the third straight game in nets for the Senators, eliminated from the playoff race and starting their final week of the season.

"He's playing very well," said Senators coach Cory Clouston.
