The Senators are taking another shot to try and get rid of veteran goaltender Martin Gerber.
He was placed on re-entry waivers by the Senators again today in hopes that the Carolina Hurricanes will pick him up at half of the $800,000 left on his contract.
The Senators had placed him on re-entry waivers last week, but got no bites from any other clubs.
Gerber, 34, has been toiling with the club's AHL affiliate in Binghamton.
Brendan Bell was also placed on waivers which means he could be sent down.
