The Senators are being tight-lipped about the new third jersey they will break out for Saturday afternoon's game at Scotiabank Place.
"They're black," Chris Phillips said yesterday, "and I'm pretty sure mine has No. 4 on the back."
Daniel Alfredsson was only slightly more forthcoming.
"I like them, I think they look really good," he said. "I think that it's going to be well received. It's pretty sharp. I can say they're different than the other ones. It's a good mix between kind of a new look and a retro look. I think that's as far as I'm going to go."
KEPT IN THE DARK
Some of the players are being kept in the dark about the "Back in Black" theme.
"They showed a bit of (the new jersey) on the Jumbotron (last game), didn't they?" said Chris Kelly, who insists he hasn't yet had his hands on one. "It looked all right from what I saw."
The Senators will wear the black jerseys for 15 games in total this season.
"I think if I remember right, our record is pretty good in black," said Alfredsson.
