The frustration is building in the Senators camp.

Upset with the club's inability to complete a drill and mired in a two-game losing skid, captain Daniel Alfredsson smashed a piece of glass with his stick at Scotiabank Place today.

Coming off an ugly 4-0 loss to the Montreal Canadiens Tuesday at the Bell Centre, Senators coach Craig Hartsburg today shifted Nick Foligno to the club's top line. The Senators will face the New York Islanders Thursday night at Scotiabank Place.

"I think we're better than we played," said Senators GM Bryan Murray. "Yes, I'm frustrated."

Winger Antoine Vermette has been moved to the third line with Chris Kelly and Shean Donovan. The Senators will be without winger Jarkko Ruutu for two games, after he was suspended by the NHL.

Ruutu was given a 10-minute misconduct in the third period of last night's 4-0 loss to the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre for elbowing Canadiens' pest Maxim Lapierre to the head.

Ruutu could be facing disciplinary action from league VP Colin Campbell.
