The waiting game will continue for Daniel Alfredsson.

The Senators captain went through the club's 60-minute practice at Scotiabank Place this morning and then had a chat with coach Craig Hartsburg before leaving the ice.

But, no decision on whether Alfredsson will return from knee surgery tomorrow against the Phoenix Coyotes is going to be made until after tomorrow's morning skate.

"I don't think anything has really changed. It's the same situation for tomorrow, we'll just see how he feels," said Hartsburg. "He was better today than he was yesterday, but I don't really think there is any decision as far as playing."

Alfredsson stayed on after the workout, which means the chances of him being in the lineup have improved dramatically. He skated with Dany Heatley and Jason Spezza, but rookie Nick Foligno also took turns with the top line.

"It's better. I was able to stay the full practice and do some work after. I'm not going to commit to anything today," said Alfredsson.
