Fisher hits the ice again
Injured Sens centre hopes to be in lineup against Red Wings

Mike Fisher was the only player on the ice at the Bell Sensplex today.

That may be good news.

After sitting out the club's first two games against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Stockholm with a groin injury, Fisher is working to get back in the lineup for Saturday's home opener against the Detroit Red Wings.

"It's starting to feel pretty good. It's not up to going very hard, but I'm just ramping it up a little bit every day and trying to strengthen it as much as possible so it doesn't happen again," said Fisher today.

Fisher said he will skate again tomorrow and will then decide if he is capable of taking part in practice. If he can compete with the rest of his teammates then there's a good chance he could suit up against the Wings.

Do you think Coyotes players should be punished for their actions after the team’s Game 5 loss to the Kings?
