Some hockey fans were tuned out of last night's Senators-Canadiens game at Scotiabank Place.
While the TSN crew of Gord Miller, Pierre McGuire and Ray Ferraro was in town to call the club's final exhibition game before the Senators head for Sweden, it was telecast on TSN2, which meant not all viewers in the national capital region got the broadcast.
Subscribers to Bell ExpressVu were able to see the game, but the network has yet to reach an agreement to have TSN2 as part of the cable package on Rogers.
According to TSN spokesman Greg McIsaac, negotiations between the network and officials with Rogers are continuing and are hopeful a deal will be in place before the start of the hockey season.
34 GAMES ON TAP
TSN2 is scheduled to show 34 NHL games this year -- including two Senators games. Rogers owns TSN's rival Sportsnet and that might be part of the reason the negotiations have been difficult.
"It will get resolved sooner or later," said a broadcasting source.
