1. SENATORS: Off a faceoff win by Spezza, Volchenkov's flat-footed shot of a rolling puck is deflected home by Spezza. SENS 1, HABS 0.

2. SENATORS: Huet looks weak as he lunges at a puck and has it trickle behind him. Spezza taps in the loose puck. SENS 2, HABS 0.

3. SENATORS: Alfredsson is alone on the left side to put the puck in the open side, finishing off a nice passing play. SENS 3, HABS 0.

SECOND PERIOD

4. SENATORS: Heatley caps a nice rush up the ice as he bats home his own rebound after taking a pass from Spezza. SENS 4, HABS 0.

5. SENATORS: On the power play, Spezza shows some good co-ordination, batting a rebound out of the air for his hat trick goal. SENS 5, HABS 0.

6. SENATORS: On a two-man advantage, Sergei Kostitsyn slides a nice pass to brother Andrei at the edge of the crease. SENS 5, HABS 1.

On Hockey Day in Canada, the Senators honoured the RCAF Flyers on the 60th anniversary of their gold medal at the 1948 Winter Olympic Games in St. Moritz. Dropping the puck before last night's game for the ceremonial opening faceoff were Ottawa's Ab Renaud and Montreal's Andre Laperriere, both members of that team...With Daniel Alfredsson back in the lineup after missing four games with a sore hip, RW Brian McGrattan was scratched ...
