NOTEBOOK

TAMPA -- Ottawa D Luke Richardson made his return to the St. Pete Times Forum for the first time since signing as a free agent with Ottawa in the off-season. Senators coach John Paddock said he has been pleased with what Richardson has brought on the ice and in the dressing room. "We expected a steady defensive player and we think he's done everything we expected of him," said Paddock. "You'd have to ask players, but he brings leadership. I'm sure there's a presence in the dressing room that only a guy with 20 years of experience can bring." ... Senators W Shean Donovan played in his 800th NHL game last night ... Paddock didn't make any changes to the lineup last night because the club isn't carrying any extra players ... The Lightning scratched C Craig MacDonald.
