Senators C Randy Robitaille, who missed two games with a hand injury, returned to the lineup last night, meaning the club wasn't forced to recall anyone from Binghamton to fill Daniel Alfredsson's spot. Alfredsson missed his first game with a groin injury suffered late in Thursday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Penguins. He wasn't on the ice for the morning skate yesterday, but coach John Paddock indicated Alfredsson could skate tomorrow. If all goes well, he could return against the New York Islanders Wednesday in Uniondale ... The Ottawa 67's, led by GM/coach Brian Kilrea, watched last night's game in a private box at Scotiabank Place ... Flyers LW Riley Cote, who leads the team with 51 PIMs, was scratched.
