The good ones play hurt.

Senators coach Bryan Murray confirmed yesterday that Mike Fisher, Chris Kelly and Chris Phillips all played with various injuries during the playoffs.

While Fisher played with a broken orbital bone after taking a puck to the face, Phillips and Kelly both had their knees frozen so they were able to play every night during the playoffs.

"There were a lot of players who were out there making a sacrifice," said Murray.

Defenceman Zdeno Chara, who injured his wrist and hand three weeks before the playoffs, wouldn't comment on whether he was hurt.
