SECOND PERIOD

2. PENS: While shorthanded, Malone steps past Heatley in the Ottawa slot and feeds Armstrong for an easy tip in to Emery's right. Sens 1, Pens 1

3. SENS: On the power play, Meszaros one-times a shot from the point. Sens 2, Pens 1

4. SENS: After Alfredsson is stopped on a break out of the box, Kelly takes a pass from behind the net and beats Caron low to the glove side for a short-handed goal. Sens 3, Pens 1

THIRD PERIOD

5. SENS: On the power play, Meszaros' shot from the point is deflected by Neil past a screened Caron. Sens 4, Pens 1

6. PENS: Varada has the puck knocked off his stick as he comes out from behind the Ottawa net and it goes right to Surovy, who snaps it in behind Emery. Sens 4, Pens 2

7. SENS: After Crosby loses the puck at the Ottawa blue line, Vermette breaks away and scores shorthanded. Sens 5, Pens 2

The Penguins won't make the playoffs, but that probably won't mean the end to Sidney Crosby's season. He said he'll play for Canada at the world championship if they want him ...
