NOTES

With the arrival of C Tyler Arnason, picked up at the trade deadline, D Christoph Schubert, who had been playing up front, was a healty scratch. He was joined by enforcer Brian McGrattan ... The Senators left after the game for Washington where they will play the Capitals tomorrow afternoon, wrapping up their five-game road trip ... The Senators finished the game with a 5-on-3 power play after the Thrashers were penalized for too many men on the ice. Then they got a bench minor for not having players on the ice for the faceoff, so that was a penalty for too many men on the ice and then one for not enough.
