30 Henrik Lundqvist G

Age: 23 Ht: 6-foot-1 Wt: 194 lbs.

2005-06 STATS: 38 GP 2.12 GAA .926 SV 2 SO

THE SKINNY: He's established himself as a bona fide candidate for rookie of the year honours (in a strong goalie class) though he obviously doesn't get as much hype as Sidney Crosby or Alexander Ovechkin ... Led the Swedish Elite League last year in goals-against average, save percentage, wins and shutouts while helping Frolunda to the championship ... He's a butterfly goalie, but more aggressive than most when it comes to challenging shooters, said Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson, who played with him in Sweden ... He was the Rangers' seventh-round choice, 205th overall, in 2000 ... He loves music and played guitar in a band in Frolunda.

With C Mike Fisher sick with the flu, Senators F Steve Martins rode the limo up from Binghamton just in time for the game Monday night. His wife, meanwhile, was giving birth to a daughter in Chicago at 1:30 a.m. Martins left to join her yesterday morning ... C Chris Kelly was rocked by a good hit by Penguins D Brooks Orpik on Monday night and wound up with a sore jaw, but will play tonight ... Fisher isn't 100% yet either, but he will play ... In their only meeting this season, the Senators defeated the Rangers 6-2 on Boxing Day at what was then the Corel Centre. They beat Kevin Weekes in the Rangers net that night, leaving him with an 0-8-4-0 career mark against Ottawa ... The Senators have had good luck at Madison Square Garden over the years with a 12-11-0-0 record there ... There are fewer than 220 tickets left for the Senators remaining home games before the Olympic break against Atlanta tomorrow night (200 left) and Philly (20 left) Saturday.

SENATORS: RW Martin Havlat (shoulder surgery), expected back in March or April; RW Brian McGrattan (swollen eye), expected to play.

RANGERS: RW Petr Prucha (knee), out 3-4 weeks; C Blair Betts (knee), out indefinitely.
