NOTES

The Senators leave today for New Jersey, where they will face the Devils tomorrow night, the first stop in their three-game road trip ... Senators winger Martin Havlat skated again yesterday as he takes the next step in coming back from his dislocated shoulder. "We know it's going to take a while, a good while yet," said Senators coach Bryan Murray. "It will be amazing when he comes back from the Olympic break, the difference, I'm hoping," said Murray ... Senators defenceman Anton Volchenkov, who took the penalty that led to the Bruins' first goal (it was scored as his penalty expired), was benched for a good chunk of the second period.
