The Senators are 3-2 against the Bruins this season, winning in Ottawa 5-1 (Oct. 15) and 4-2 (Nov. 26) and in Boston 5-2 (Nov. 10), while also losing twice (3-0, Dec. 12 and 4-2, Jan. 5) in Beantown ... The Bruins allowed a season-high 51 shots on goal in a 4-3 loss to the Islanders Saturday, the first time in seven game (5-0-2) dating back to Jan. 12 they have failed to get at least one point ... A native of Flint, Mich., and University of Vermont product, has spent much of the past nine seasons playing in Finland. "Timmy Thomas has always been passed over, always been regarded as the other guy," said Senators coach Bryan Murray. "But he's very quick, very competitive and he's been very good in Europe. Now he's getting a chance here and he's seizing the opportunity."
