KEEP AN EYE ON...

17 LADISLAV NAGY LW

AGE: 26 HT: 5-foot-11 WT: 192 lbs.

2005-06 STATS: 40 GP 14 G 32 A 46 PTS 66 PIMs

THE SKINNY: In his sixth NHL season, he's on pace for his best season ever. He's just 11 points off his career-best points total of 57 in 2002-03 ... Helped Slovakia win its first gold medal at the world championships in 2002 ... Had 71 goals in 63 games with Halifax of the QMJHL in his only season of Canadian major junior hockey ... Was acquired from the Blues along with Michal Handzus, Jeff Taffe and a first-round draft pick for Keith Tkachuk March 13, 2001 ... Leads the Coyotes with four game-winning goals.

NOTEWORTHY:

Dany Heatley has missed linemates Daniel Alfredsson and Jason Spezza. He had just one goal while Alfredsson was out ... Though it has struggled on the road, the Senators still own the NHL's No. 1 power play on home ice (28.9%) ... Heatley will wear No. 15 with Team Canada at the Olympics, C Jason Spezza (on the taxi squad) No. 10 and D Wade Redden his No. 6 ... Coyotes W Shane Doan moved past former Senators captain Laurie Boschman on the Coyotes-Winnipeg Jets franchise's all-time goal-scoring list. Doan now has 153 goals to move into seventh place and also passed Boschman for seventh spot on the all-time points list ... Doan was talking with Senators assistant coach John Paddock after the Coyotes practised at the Corel Centre yesterday. "Hey, John," shouted Coyotes GM Mike Barnett, "nice draft pick." Paddock was the Jets' GM when they made Doan their first pick, seventh overall, in 1995. -- Chris Stevenson
