NOTES

The time of yesterday's game was moved from 7 p.m. to accommodate the Sugar Bowl taking place at the Georgia Dome, which is just down the street from Philips Arena. Normally, the Sugar Bowl is held at the Louisiana Superdome, but it was moved because of the devastation left in New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina ... Some Atlanta media were upset RW Dany Heatley wasn't made available before the game, but the Senators complied with the NHL's rules for media access.
