THE SKINNY: Along with Fs Wayne Primeau and Marco Sturm, Stuart was acquired from San Jose last night in the blockbuster trade that sent centre Joe Thornton to the Sharks ... Expected to make Bruins debut tonight ... The native of Rocky Mountain House, Alta., was the Sharks' first-round pick (third overall) in the 1998 NHL entry draft ... Scored 36 goals and had 117 assists in 377 career games with San Jose ... Set to make $1.9 million US this season.

NOTEWORTHY:

BOSTON -- Fs Marco Sturm and Wayne Primeau, and D Brad Stuart are expected to be in the Bruins lineup tonight after being acquired from San Jose last night in exchange for Joe Thornton ... The Bruins are an NHL-worst 2-11 in one-goal games and have lost 9-of-10 ... After putting former Senators assistant captain Shawn McEachern and enforcer Colton Orr on waivers Tuesday, the Bruins called up LW Zdenek Blatny and Dan LaCouture from AHL Providence ... The Senators can tie a club record with their seventh straight victory tonight ... G Dominik Hasek is expected make the start. If he plays well, don't be surprised if he gets the call again tomorrow night vs. Los Angeles at the Corel Centre ... The Bruins had an interest in Montreal D Ron Hainsey, but the Blue Jackets claimed him on waivers Tuesday before GM Mike O'Connell could get him.
