NOTES

Senators D Wade Redden was scheduled to skate yesterday to test his strained knee, but wasn't on the ice. Coach Bryan Murray said Redden will definitely skate today, but it would appear doubtful he'll play Friday against the Los Angeles Kings. That means Redden may not return until the Senators face the Vancouver Canucks on Dec. 9 at GM Place. "We're just going to see how much progress he makes," said Murray ... The Habs played without D Mike Komisarek (personal reasons), D Sheldon Souray (groin) and D Andrei Markov (suspended). To make matters worse, D Ron Hainsey was claimed off waivers yesterday by the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Habs recalled D Jean-Philippe Cote from the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs.

Sun Rating: 2 1/2 out of 5
