NOTES

Ray Emery got the start in the Senators' net last night, his fifth of the season. That disappointed at least one media member, who was hoping for a Dominik Hasek-Martin Brodeur duel. "He's played very well for us," Senators coach Bryan Murray said of Emery. "You can't ask him to be more perfect than he has been (4-0). He's looked good in practice. There's a lot of reasons (to play him)."...D Christoph Schubert was a healthy scratch for the sixth-straight game last night ...The Senators are scheduled to have today off. They'll practice tomorrow and then charter to Carolina for Tuesday night's meeting with the Hurricanes ... The Senators scored first again last night, the 13th time in 18 games this season they have done that.

Sun Rating: 3 out of 5
